Country Charmer

First I want to THANK Lynn from  http://sewnwildoaks.blogspot.com/ for creating such a beautiful quilt. And, then there is Lesley from   http://lesleythecuddlequilter.blogspot.com/ that planned a quilt along. I must admit I was on the fence about making this quilt. But, once I saw the QAL I decided why not.

Making the first two blocks scared the be gibbers out of me.

And, I took a brake. For a couple months.............

But, then I got back to work. And, once these were made........

Before I knew it I had these.

OK, So now I was on a roll.. I made some of these..

Now how could I stop there..

Then I got stumped about my boarders.

I knew the first one was going to be white. But, would the outside be red?

Or blue?

OOPS!  My basket quilt wasn't done yet. Do you see it on the right.

Well, hear is the choice I made. And, boy was it a hard choice. They both worked so well.

Thank You Sue, for creating such a lovely pattern. And, Thank You Lesley for getting me off the fence. It was SOOOOO worth it.

LOVE, HUGS, and PRAYERS,
Carolyn

  3. I think the blue gives more balance - the red would have over powered those beautiful blocks.

  7. That is beautiful, and I think you were right to go with blue for your border.

By the way, the designer is Lynn, not me. I just did the button we have on the sidebar.
