Country Charmer Quiltalong

Country Charmer Quiltalong :

I'm late getting this posted today. The day has gotten away from me.

Today over at http://lesleythecuddlequilter.blogspot.com/  she was going to have a schedule. Today we were suppose to have our fabric and have the pieces cut.

I did manage to get my background fabric cut.

I knew this was what I was going to go with. So, far so good.

How ever, I am still auditioning reds, and blues.

This is what I have so far.

I'm loving making these blocks. The more I make the more addicting they are. And, I have made others. But, not liking them so much.

Don't forget that http://sewnwildoaks.blogspot.com/ made the pattern and is posting VERY helpful hints on the construction of the quilt.

If your fretting over color matches, read her post on Thursday Jan 31st. Very helpful!

There are several people in blogland that are making this quilt. You can find some of us on the flicker page that has been set up. LOVING this too.

I'm off to audition more fabric.

LOVE, HUGS, and PRAYERS,
Carolyn

  1. Carolyn, your blocks are drop dead gorgeous! Love the red, white, and blue. I think your quilt is going to be fabulous if your first two blocks are any indication. Yay you!

  2. Yea! Very pretty blocks and a great start. I figure any 'un-loved' blocks I will save and sash up for pillows (fill that Christmas Bin).

  4. Your blocks are wonderful Carolyn! You know I'm loving your plaid too. What did quilters ever do without baggies? Great job!

  5. They're beautiful Carolyn. The colours are similar to mine and I think they're going to make up into beautiful quilts.
